This I believe Will...
I believe you will grow up and be an amazing man. I believe you will find someone to share your amazing heart with, a lovely woman to give your love to. I believe one day you will get down on one knee with a real diamond ring and all those thousands of times practicing proposing to me will come in handy. I believe you will go to college if that's what you want. I believe you will have the opportunity for a fulfilling career. I know right now you want to have a taco truck and if that's what you still want one day, I will help you. But if your dreams change, I believe you will chase them. I believe one day you will drink that beer with daddy. You will work in the yard and help daddy clean the garage like you did on Sunday and afterwards I can see you drinking a beer and admiring your hard work. I believe you will live and succeed and be happy and independent. I also believe you will struggle to find all of that, just as we have.
Your loved ones have had heated conversations about your future and who will be "in charge". I believe you will direct your future. I believe as a grown man you will control your destiny and we need to figure out how to support you in that, when the time comes. I believe in you Will and I believe you will continue to break through the ceilings others place above you. I believe you will keep showing me where I have unknowing placed a ceiling in your path.
Lots have started asking questions about the future of your brothers which has really made me think hard about your future, made me put words to this sense of what I believe your future will be.
You will never be a burden Will. Your brothers will never be a burden. Your daddy and I don't live our life waiting to get through this "time" so that one day we can get back to just the two of us and retire with little responsibly. I understand that many people follow that course society pushes. We just happen to not. It works for us. I believe one day you will want a level of independence that will break my heart and, at the same time, make my momma pride soar. I don't know what that will look like but I believe you will show us. I believe you will pave the way for your brothers and others who are differently-abled.
